What areas do you serve?

Calgary and the surrounding communities, Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, and Okotoks.

How much does home care cost?

If Alberta Health Services approves home-care hours, those hours can be $0 out-of-pocket when billed at the AHS-approved rate, directly to Alberta Blue Cross through the CDHCI program. You’d cover only extras like overtime, statutory holidays, or hours beyond your approval. For anything beyond an approval, we offer clear private-pay hourly rates. We’ll help you find out what you qualify for, free.

Do you bill Alberta Blue Cross directly?

Yes. For approved hours we handle the Blue Cross billing end to end, no invoices for you to front, no reimbursement forms.

Are your caregivers employees or contractors?

Employees, screened, trained, insured, and supported by a coordinator. We don’t use gig contractors for hands-on care.

What languages do your caregivers speak?

We’re Filipino-rooted. Our caregivers speak English and Tagalog.

Can we meet the caregiver before care starts?

Yes. You meet your matched caregiver before the first visit. If the fit isn’t right, we rematch, chemistry matters as much as skill.

How quickly can care start?

Often within days of your free assessment, depending on your needs and schedule.

Is this medical or nursing care?

No, KapwaCare provides non-medical home care: personal care, companionship, homemaking, respite, dementia support, and post-hospital help at home.

Do you offer any in-home technology?

We’re developing Kapwa Companion, an optional in-home wellness and personal-safety aid (currently in development, not a medical device). Ask us about early access.
